Geekology 101 Event

What is the equation when you mix Cosplay culture, Photography, and a book; you'll get Geekology 101. It is a photography book showing Jay Tablante's work.

Held in National Bookstore, Shoppsville Lane in Greenhills, San Juan city, last October 20.

We where there and luckily we arrive early. The program started at four in the afternoon.

It is a gathering of Alodia fans, comic collectors, photographers, and hobbyist, on that day, you'll have this feeling that you attended a press-release of a celebrity promoting his film.


Media like Star World Asia, Solar Entertainment, and Hero Channel where also present and covered the event.


Registration was located at the entrance which is divided into two, one is for the attendees who bought the book on that day, guest, and sponsors of the event; and the other one is for cosplayers who attended the event.
At the same time at the entrance, you can buy the Geekology 101 book for 345 Philippine Pesos, at the same time, you can have it sign by the author and of course to Alodia Gosengfiao, how about that for a deal.

An exhibit of Jay Tablante's work are also shown on the event, prints of his work was provided by Canon Philippines.

An exclusive bookshelf dedicated to Jay Tablante's work can be seen at the premises - reminds me of my mom's book launching in San Francisco back then; with an additional support from Amazon.com and her travel from one state to another just to promote the book.

Cosplyers are also present at the event which were invited.


The Geekology 101 was hosted by the alluring Jingri Park which is also previously work with the author; at the same time, Jingri Park acknowledge the prsence of the cosplay goddess Alodia Gosiengfiao and was called at the stage.


At this moment, Jingri is having an interview with the author on how he combined his geek side, graphic design, and photography in one package.

Tween Heart celebrity Derrick Monasterio Barbie Forteza was also present at the event.
